Sharkey SE appointed Chapman Consulting because they were at a critical stage of their business growth cycle – one that required the creation of a cohesive brand identity and a set of strategic tools to help them stand out as being unique, dynamic and different.

Insight

Our consultants embraced the challenge of working with a large number of decision-makers to get a firm grip on what was needed in terms of evolving an existing brand identity as well as offline and online communications. Using our Strategic Business Development Review (SBDR), we uncovered a need to re-energise general marketing activity, refocus brand positioning and develop new brand architecture specifically for the London construction market.

Strategy

Initially, we helped Sharkey SE build a solid platform of corporate collateral that provided a cohesive brand image and a unifying ‘talking point’ for the senior team. The process involved reviewing and refreshing all corporate literature including case studies, photographic imagery, organisational charts and approach to market. Ongoing initiatives include the development of a new corporate brand identity for a business that will be launched in 2017/2018 into the London market. We are also providing support with event management, a business development proposition and marketing management.

Results

Since we were appointed to handle marketing management activities for Sharkey SE, the company is now in a considerably stronger position in the London marketplace. We have streamlined all their marketing materials, created an online resource accessible via the Cloud for all stakeholders, created a brand guidelines library, including rules for brand usage, and set up a PR contingency plan. Looking ahead, a sales strategy is now in place for 2017/18, which will be supported by a dynamic new website.
