Our consultants helped identify key prospects and sectors that would benefit from Woodford’s unique skills. We developed a clearly differentiated brand identity, marketing communications and a structured business development strategy.

Strategy

In 2015, we developed an exhaustively researched marketing strategy to take Woodford Heating into the facilities management sector. To support these initiatives and other ongoing business development, we refreshed the brand identity, initiated a more proactive digital content strategy, set up digital newsletters and created a staff engagement programme to develop “The Woodford Way”.

Results

We are enjoying high levels of success with Woodford Heating and Energy and continue to work with the board on refinements to HR and growth strategies through to 2020. Here are a few of the high points so far:

  • Phenomenal growth over three years to four times initial turnover.
  • 10-fold increase in multi-million pound new business clients.
  • New product development in 2015 with business-generation ideas and ongoing marketing support at board level.
  • Increased customer satisfaction from 76% to 98% and an improvement in Health & Safety performance through initiation and implementation of a branded continuous improvement programme.
  • Launch of a new business in 2016 targeting the facilities management market. This doubled in size within a year and continues to show healthy growth.
